The Catholic Blame Game

Catholic child rape:
Who will the church blame today?

The media

The catholic church has blamed the media for its rape of children, the cover-up and the media outcry.

The world has been outraged at the revelations in the media that the catholic church has repeatedly put its precious reputation ahead of the prevention of child rape.

There is no doubt who is to blame for this scandal, at least according to Warsaw Archbishop Kazimierz Nycz:

'[The media is] targeting the whole church, targeting the pope, and to that we must say `no' in the name of truth and in the name of justice'

Meanwhile, Vienna's Cardinal Christoph Schoenborn wonders:

'I admit that I often feel a sense of injustice these days. Why is the church being excoriated? Isn't there also abuse elsewhere?'

And the Vatican's own newspaper, L'Osservatore Romano blustered something about a "clear and despicable intention" by the media to strike at Benedict "at any cost".

Yes, pity the poor media, having to resort to revealing the truth in order to bring down the world's only infallible man.
